Scott began his professional career as a CPA with the accounting firm Deloitte & Touche and after six  years in public accounting, he moved into industry  as an accounting Manager with Massey Energy Company.  Scott’s wife, Nancy, is a managing member of Youngblood Properties LLC, a local builder/developer specializing in high-end homes in Richmond’s West End.  Years ago, she convinced Scott that real estate might be an exciting and dynamic alternative to his career in corporate accounting, and he has not looked back since  He currently represents Youngblood Properties selling their new homes in Richmond-area neighborhoods. In addition, he works with buyers and sellers in Richmond, Henrico, Glen Allen, Hanover, Goochland, Chesterfield  and Powhatan.  

From market values to important local issues, Scott strives to know everything about the marketplace.  He diligently analyzes market conditions in order to price and position his clients’ homes to create maximum value. Active marketing is the cornerstone of Scott’s success -he does not rely on passive activities such as the MLS system, yard signs and newspaper advertising to sell homes.

Scott is a cum laude graduate of Hampden-Sydney with a degree in Economics and received his accounting training from William and Mary.  His real estate credentials include licensure as an associate broker, GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute), ABR (Accredited Buyers Representative), CSP (Certified Site Professional) and SFR (Short Sale & Foreclosure Resource).

When not assisting clients, Scott enjoys spending time with his family and pets, playing music with his band, fishing, racquetball, golf and Tae Kwon Do.
